Brokenness Before Allah: The Power of a Sincere Moment

“You might find in a moment of brokenness what you didn’t find in years of worship.” This hikam of Ibn ʿAṭāʾillah teaches that a single moment of sincere turning to Allah in vulnerability may outweigh years of routine worship. Why? Because the heart in that moment is raw, humble, and real. That deep need awakens sincerity. When you cry out with no pretense, Allah responds—not just to your du’a’, but to your heart. Brokenness can be a spiritual breakthrough.

Don’t be ashamed of your pain. Say: “Ya Allah, You see me at my lowest. Let this brokenness bring me back to You.”
